Biography

Recognized as a global leader in international arbitration and public international law, Ben Love has acted as counsel and arbitrator in more than 50 commercial and investment disputes under all major arbitral rules, including some of the most high-profile matters submitted to international arbitration over the past decade.
Ben has assisted clients in obtaining favorable settlements and securing awards in excess of US$1 billion on multiple occasions, defeating several attempts to annul an aggregate of billions of dollars in ICSID awards, and enforcing commercial and investment arbitration awards in national courts. His disputes work across the globe spans the gamut of major industry sectors, with particular emphasis on energy, mining, technology, and aerospace.
Ben has been recognized as a highly regarded practitioner for international arbitration by numerous publications and directories. East Mediterranean Gas
Represented investors in successful investment and commercial arbitrations arising from the termination of natural gas supply from Egypt to Israel in the wake of the Arab Spring, resulting in over a billion dollars in compensation awarded.
Rusoro Mining v. Venezuela
Obtained a US$1.2 billion award against Venezuela for the expropriation of a gold mine.
Indiana Resources v. Tanzania
Achieved the first ever summary dismissal of ICSID annulment claims in a case against Tanzania.
